I drive interstate LTL 26' straight truck at the moment putting up close to same time and mileage stats I would in T/T. So the mental and physical fatigue I'm familiar and ok with. Home life is simple and in line with the profession. Not in a mental or financial low place lost not knowing what to do with myself. Just gotta find the right place to get started.

Lots of tanker companies demand 1-2 years of previous CDL experience. The key is keep your record spotless until you get hired where you want to work long-term.

For sure. I appreciate the advice and encouragement. I dont post much but the threads I've read and studied over the years have given me great insight on how to move forward in the professional driving world taking careful informed and not desperate steps, and general wisdom for life itself. Very thankful.

If you want to go tanker, do it from the start. Don't mess around with door slamming.
By all means, explore other companies and options, but if Schneider bulk offers you a spot, TAKE IT!
I've never worked for them, but I have heard many times over the years their training is top notch.
Keep your record clean for a year at Big Orange, then you can write your ticket.
Good luck!austinmike, meechyaboy, Dennixx and 2 others Thank this. -
Once you've gotten some experience I've heard good things about this company.

I won’t talk about money at the big Orange but what I can say is that you will learn how to operate various trailer setups to where you can go anywhere and understand the operation fairly easily.

Don't listen to these guys.
Go p-nuematic. No suit to wear. More likely to have auto only not be an issue, although I think everyone is going auto now. Just wear earplugs.
Bulkmatic
They woud prefer experience, but there are exceptions.
