Exactly... XPO Logistics was one... I’m pretty sure XPO Logistics has helped many owner operators.. however they will not work with the MC number provided by the company I work for.. I don’t wanna put there business out so I will not say the name.. however I advise everyone to research the MC NUMBER you are under to prevent frustrations.

Personally, I'd get my own MC number. But if you really don't want to take onthe additional responsibilities of paperwork and blah blah blah I do understand especially if you're a one man show.

In the past I have leased trucks that I owned onto Ace Doran out of Cincinnati Ohio and they treated me pretty well. Although since then they have changed hands inner part of Bennett.a lot of the same people are still there though. I know they offer apportioned plates.

Dan Doran who was the previous owner of a company has a new heavy haul outfit, the name escapes me at the moment though. I'm sure I have it because I have talked to him in like the past year.

What kind of freight are you moving, dry freight, flatbed, power only?

I'll tell you what, there is a lot of dry freight business coming out of my area anymore with this Humboldt industrial Park, and now they're talkin 5.5 million square feet of Warehouse directly across the street from me. I wish I could find a good dispatcher/driver manager or whatever you want to call themto work out of my terminal office whatever the hell you want to call this place. I'd love to have a piece of that work.

But that's beside the point, if you're looking for something right now I would check into the ace Doran thing. They are a hundred year old company with a good reputation, it's been a few years since I checked their safety rating but it was pretty good and their credit rating was about as good as it could get

Of course they did sell to Bennett a few years back so do your research and proceed at your own risk
