I have been working for a small company in georgia for 1 year now. Working 14 hour days hauling gravel and asphalt. The dispatcher is a real dick(sorry, only way to put it). If you do what he says, you get decent runs. If your one of his favorites then you get all the best runs and miles. Over the last 2 months he has sent me from atlanta to chicago. Dispatching me at 6 or 6:30 p.m. telling me the load has to be there at 8:00 a.m. and it can't be late or there is a fine to the driver and my job. Not much time for a break. So clearly he and the boss don't care about the rules of the dot.
Advice Please!!!

It's your CDL and your career at risk if you get busted by DOT or have an accident running illegal. It's not worth it. Find greener pastures I'd say
Mr.Peterbuilt777 Thanks this. -
What type job do you want? Georgia is loaded with decent trucking jobs.

Tell them to put that dispatch in writing. They won't, because they know it is not a legal and reasonable dispatch. You would have to average 66 mph for 11 hours. If they do put it writing, then quit anyway, that way you can contest any "quit under dispatch" remarks they may put on any future job reference.
