yeah, I was of the opinion they didn't have dispatchers but still have someone trying to make the customers happy by force feeding some of the gullible drivers willing to haul anything because some people are just happy to be spinning their wheels.
Advice please

It's hard to get me to go to work when I'm home. I can add over $700 a week to my paycheck just by driving to Florida and back Saturday and Sunday but don't because I'm not asked. When I had my own truck there was a time I went from Laredo to Toledo to Orlando back to Atlanta without stopping very long. Used to turn a Lantana FL run at least once a week. When I got home it was hard to get me to drive anywhere though.

I can't speak for landstar, but I can speak for things at Mercer since I am leased to them. with mercer I have never been pressured by anyone to take a load. not from load coordinators, nor agents. if anything my coordinator has tried to talk me out of loads that went to bad areas(I took them anyway due to the rate being more than good enough to dead head back to a good area). the conversation with either coordinator or agent usually goes like this " hey I've got some loads I want to run by you,( insert load details) are you interested in one of them?" that's it, no talking loads up, pressure, or please help me out with this. not a thing.rodknocker Thanks this.
