I have 4 preventable non-DOT recordable accidents showing up on my record. However, i only did 3 of them. I was teaming with schneider and my teammate ran over a curb and blew a tire, and bent the rim, but schneider is also reporting it on my record too. and it is messing with me. I've applied to several companies, and a few have told me their max is 3 preventables. I submitted a claim to HireRight to have it removed but their "investigation" determined it was being reported accurately. I tried emailing schneider but haven't heard anything back. That was a week or 2 ago. all that said, the 2 accidents being reported by schneider were almost 3 years ago and will be removed in november. so my question is, should i bother trying to get the one cleared up, or just wait until november? or any recommendations for companies that would take me?

Besides the accidents i have a clean record, no tickets, citations, or points. i have approx 20 months driving experience. i ended my last job back in december to go back to school. I'm located in central Florida. I'm worried that if i wait til nov/dec to start looking again, i'm gonna get grief for having a gap in experience.

You have 2 strikes against you. Living In Florida and 3 accidents. You application says liability to any employer. You might as well hang it up and do whatever you went to school for. Really it's not the 4th accident it's the second and your application in the mist of all the other applicants who don't have any accidents.

You have an up hill battle and the best thing to do is find another occupation.

He's absolutely right on this. Even if you wait till Nov/dec they'd still be on your dac.

Think about this. You're an employer and have two candidates for a job...

    A long, long time ago....
In an orientation far, far away......
They told us that it is a statistical fact, that if you have an accident in the first year of becoming a driver, you are like 95% chance you will have more. So there's that.
Whatever your doing, you need to change something, I don't know what your preventables were. I'm thinking they involve some close quarters someplace. And that being said, your probably not using the best judgement you have, or you'd not be in those situations, I'm just guessing, like I said don't know what you got pinched for.
I use to train, and I have always boasted I could teach a chimp to dock a truck, providing that the chimp does it the way he is instructed, and the way he has practiced.
I'm doing a local gig at the moment. Six stops today. Twice to the same place where you have to blind side in, the first time with the sun in my eyes. Probably in and out of the cab 4 times on that one. Last stop was the hardest place that we go, this is at about 10 on duty, so i'm tired, probably in and out of the cab 4 times on that one.
I'm in this for 11 years. Clean record ( Knocks on side of head ).
If I'm doing the hiring, I'm a big believer in the eyeball test.
If your aiming for a big company, I guess just hit them all, and see if someone will give you a shot, when they tell you " no ", ask when will I meet your requirement? Ask them all that, someone will have a real awnser.
Part B: Go around and look for a small guy. Look on the ads on this site, post your resume on other sites.

Seek and ye will find young man. And keep in mind that the truth is the Armor of God.

    Try these:
New Image Logistics in Mount Dora,FL
    Florida Beauty Express
    Carolina Cargo

You need to keep that CDL active until November, then you can change companies.
