Can I do that? Can you please step by step tell me how would you go about giving the truck back? I talked to the sales man and his position has been: Trucks have problems, used or brand new.

It depends on the terms of the buyers assurance. Does it say that you can switch it for another truck if not satisfied?
You need to bypass the salesman, he doesn’t want that truck back.

    1st step hire an attorney.

Does your sales contract have a restocking provision?

    Good luck

Thanks! Already got the general manager number, left a voicemail.
The other dealer doing the repairs (Premier Trucks of Odessa) replaced again the faulty nox sensor, they say could not find any other issue, truck will be ready to pick up today, this is the third time it happens. Funny is I got the truck from that dealer to avoid exactly this situation.

That's a LOT of idle time for a DD13. I wouldn't be surprised if it's on it 3rd or 4th one box. (One box holds all the filters the sensors plug into, basically a big catalytic converter, kinda).

A new one box installed from the dealer would fix your issues for a while, sounds like the current one is plugged, and baking it probably won't help.

That might be a compromise with the dealership to get you on the road.

Another major issue that will raise it's head probably right after you get out of warranty will be injectors and cylinder liner glazing from all that idle time. Diesels are designed to run at load most of the time. AT 750K miles, if not sooner, you'll have huge blowby and will be needing an inframe.

You need to get a copy of the D Dec report. I think it will show the regen history. You may be able to use it in negotiations for another truck.
I would be surprised if the seller didn’t have to do a regen to clear codes.

The code is for high DEF delivery. It’s using a lot of DEF fluid.
Says it could just need a software update.
    Could be poor DEF quality.
    Could be the DEF injector/pump.
Could be the SCR catalyst is worn out.

“I’ve received the copy of the DEC report and have the truck back. The servicing dealer replaced the NOx sensor for the second time, stating that no other parts are failing and they can’t replace the unit without meeting the specific criteria. When I inquired about how many attempts would suffice for further action, their response was that parts can only be replaced under warranty if a failure is identified. After replacing the NOx sensor and conducting tests, they reported everything looks fine. As I mentioned, I feel quite powerless in this situation. I’m currently waiting to hear back from the general manager of the dealership where I purchased the truck.”
