Just tell the company. It was an accident. DO NOT TRY AND HIDE IT! That will get you canned. But you will find honesty is the best policy. They base accidents on the amount of damage. A new bumper is cheap.

I doubt that he needs to hear your negative attitude. If you had such a bad experience I would suggest that you ask the man in the mirror why.

the above should be the least of your worries, not mentioning it won't even show up on your license until well after you are already driving. your life is going to change so much when you finally climb up into that truck, well unless it is running super singles or low pro 22.5 tires thereby allowing you to step into the itty bitty thing, that your minor incident that you are agonizing over will become something that happened so long ago.

really forum friend.cease stressing over miniscule junk. driving whatever you'll be piloting will be a life altering event. please come back to the forum and whine about driving a truck and the actual day in/day out events that will dictate your new life.

take care and don't get gray hair worrying-

I drive a home heating oil truck and I get out and walk the drive if not flat and there is snow on it. If I slip the truck will slip and I will not make a oil drop till the people put down salt/sand and it is safe to drive on.
My boss says the same thing about roads, if covered with ice/snow don't go till a sand truck comes by.

Cant help on if it will effect the new job for you or not-sorry.
    Good luck

Definitely tell them.........your character means everything. It was a minor accident with minimal damage. I doubt it will affect your chances of being hired since you have stated that you have a clean record. Best of luck to you pards!

didn't take long for the goody two shoes to chime in. i am not suggesting that the op not tell whomever,i merely declared that the small dent will not prevent him/her from getting a driving job and that when he/she/it does start driving, that small dent will become a distant memory when compared to everything involved with driving a cmv.
