I’m in and out of there all the time. I got 4 loads to bring ‘em Monday and Tuesday. Delivered six the week before last and one this week. It can be a pia but the new appointment system seems to be finally working things out.Oxbow, IH9300SBA and Phoenix Heavy Haul Thank this.
-
And you hire guys who tell you they're going to take chances?IH9300SBA Thanks this.

I don’t want a driver who doesn’t understand the nuances of the job. Are you in the heavy haul industry?Gearjammin' Penguin, nikmirbre, Oxbow and 4 others Thank this.

I personally always follow the law to an absolute T. Anyone who pulls big freight and says they never bend the rules is either lying to you, doesn’t get anything done, or is ignorant of the laws and just doesn’t realize they are breaking them.
-
Well said! Ill be darned if Im gonna pick up in Savannah, and it be one of those days at the port, tarp, get going and have to shut down at 330 in Mcdonough because of the perceived curfew on the loop. I was just saying what I was told, I didnt say I adhered to it!

How could you?!?! I get so tired of the BS from guys not actively engaged in moving oversized freight. They have no earthly idea what it takes to get the job done. They seem to think a statement like “willing to take chances” is the same as being unsafe. When I would put up any HH driver’s safety record against the best of them. I don’t think I have ever seen one with his foot on the dash.
But, let’s call a spade a spade. If a driver was afraid to take chances he wouldn’t be willing to do the job in the first place. Because everyday you drag a heavy, wide or high load and you do it with idiots surrounding you at highway speeds.
So next time you pull over on the shoulder to heat up your hot pocket, don’t worry I won’t hit you. No matter how strong that urge may be.Gearjammin' Penguin, cke, IH9300SBA and 7 others Thank this. -
Well the context in which I said it was dodging weigh stations. So there's that.
-
Right. Because dodging a scale makes you an unsafe menace.cke, stwik, shanman and 1 other person Thank this.

I wouldn’t of asked if I could find it on the state website… even in the statutes it’s not worded clearlycke, Oxbow, Jubal Early Times and 1 other person Thank this.
