Yes, I decided to return to them since they treated me so well when I was with them a few years ago. Plus, the terminal near my home is considered one of the best in the system and having a terminal near home is good for getting to and from when needed or wanted.

does swift offer a refesher course? I have a CDL but no recent exp. I am waiting for a call back from the recuiter. I have been approved for CRE but I don't really want to go there.

another question . . . after I finish the mentor program . . . do I get an opportunity to go home for a few days, or do I just start making runs?

I am not sure but you will have to go with a mentor for 42 days.

You will have earned 7 days off unless you took time during the mentor process. Depending on how far you are from your home terminal, I would take most of that then ask your DM for a load by your house for a couple of days after your truck is assigned so you can get "moved in".

The Challenger, xxpigxx and cpassey Thank this.

If the site that does it is like ours here in Alb. they will do everything to help you pass. There is no time limit on completion of it so take your tme and do what you can. Keep us posted.

I talked with a swift recuiter today. Her said they may be hiring in a few weeks and that they don't have a refresher coarse. But if I can show up and can pass the road test I would then go 28 days with a trainer.
It's been a while since I've done a pre-trip inspection. Is this part of the road test at Swift? Can anyone tell me what there road test consists of?
Does any one have a pre-trip check list from school that you can fax me? or write it on this thread?
