Different code but exactly how my problems started. Before you get too in-depth with it.
Check and see if it needs a update.
There is a sprayer that sprays something into the other thing durning a regen. I will post the terms when I member them. It stops spraying when the computer needs to be updated.
And when it stops spraying, all the sensors on the one box and some in the egr areas just get clogged and dirty.
May not he your issue. But the update it 230.00
And I'm already almost 1k into sensors and parts. I was out of work for 16 days before I found out. I'm getting the up grade Friday.

The software update should have been covered during the diagnostic procedure. At $4200, I hope they ran through the whole list.
The part that sprays diesel during a regen is the aftertreatment hydrocarbon doser, or 7th injector. It's related to soot levels and regen temperatures, not NOx conversion.shatteredsquare and Keepforgettingmypassword Thank this. -
I've been thinking of replacing or cleaning the 7th Injector for a while now since I've got over 500k on the truck and it's never been done.loudtom Thanks this. -
I would probably do it as well, at the very least to just clean it and inspect. Even if it lasts until 1 million miles, it's going to be that much harder to remove if it's never been removed before. Just be careful not to break the mounting bolts. They are small and get weak from all the heat cycles.
