I honestly learned something new today, and I'll have to pass the word to my old boss because when we run activity buses in VA (from NC) we run our hazards on the highways.
It isn't 35 mph though, it's 30 and there's a couple other conditions that warrant hazards.
Title 46.2 - Motor Vehicles
Chapter 10 - Motor Vehicle and Equipment Safety
§ 46.2-1040. Hazard lights
Motor vehicles, trailers, and semitrailers, when temporarily stopped on the traveled or paved portion of the highway so as to create a traffic hazard, shall flash all four turn signals simultaneously to signal approaching motorists of the existing hazard whenever such vehicle is equipped with a device which will cause the four turn signals to flash simultaneously. All four turn signals may be flashed simultaneously on a vehicle slowed or stopped at the scene of a traffic hazard, when traveling as part of a funeral procession, or when traveling at a speed of thirty miles per hour or less. Except for vehicles traveling as part of a funeral procession, all four turn signals shall not be flashed simultaneously while the vehicle is traveling faster than thirty miles per hour.
School buses shall flash all four turn signals when approaching and stopping at railroad grade crossings.PoleCrusher, Rideandrepair and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
I distinctly recall studying the CDL manual (1992) and reading 10 mph under speed limit must use 4 way flashers, I’ve yet to hear of anyone else being taught this at a school, or by a Trainer. Am I wrong about this. I once got pulled over for having them on after pulling out of scale, Loaded heavy with low power, seemed only right. Cop wanted to know what was wrong. I explained for safety till I get up to speed, and that I thinks it’s the law. He said he’s never heard of that law. Regardless I still do it if traffics approaching, and I see a lot of Trucks going too slow, just asking to be rear ended.

On the leaking brake can, a pair of vice grips to crimp off airline to the can, and back off brake. Legal to run with one not working, cannot be put out of service. 10% not operable is legal, unless it’s on the steer axle.
Tombstone69, truckdriver31 and booley Thank this. -
Drain your air tanks

4 way valve on the wagon stuck? Find the valve with 4 hoses coming out ( one to each wheel) and give it a rap with a hammer, tires chocked, of course, in case she lets go.
Rideandrepair Thanks this.
