I've been very happy with the DONALDSON filter, switched from FLEETGUARD. Both seem to work well, I prefer the blue one a bit over the other. Look for a filter with a lot of surface area in the filter(the accordion folds of the filter material) the tighter the weave the more surface area to filter the incoming air. The quality of the filter material also comes into play, Donaldson does a good job on both accounts. I use 1 filter per year, aprox. 120-150k miles per year, installed late fall so I have a clean one for the winter months. They don't get to dirty in the cold up north, there is not much dust in the air that time of year. The reusable filters are fine, however I just don't want to have to service them. The Donaldson flows plenty for my 16L engine and if I needed to increase flow I would start with the exhaust which is more restrictive now than ever before with the abuse from the EPA. Just my 2cents.:biggrin_25525:
