I picked up m18 fuel 1/2 for the value...it came with the battery pack and 3/4 did not.
Also the availability of sockets at Harbor Freight looked better for 1/2 but that should not be an issue in the long run. Also, having watched some Youtube demos 1/2 seemed to get the job done.

Still, thinking that maybe I should have picked up 3/4.

The larger size of the shaft should allow greater transfer of energy theoretically. It would of course also have less flex twisting axis

If YOU can remotely brick your tool, so can someone else. If it is bt paired and ONLY works when your phone is nearby, pray you never lose your phone and you can bet your keister they can and ARE constantly collecting and selling every scrap of data they can on your phone.

Before you call me paranoid, lets say something breaks, and it WILL, its an industrial tool with fragile electronics in it. Can YOU repair it? As in, will they ALLOW you to? What happens when bluetooth is no longer the standard? The cordless drill my father built a house with in the 70s and 80s still works fine (granting that its not as good as modern iterations, bit it still does its job) will yours?

Anything they call, "smart" is definitely meant to further enslave us via convenience and apathy. Smart TV, smart electric/gas meters, smart cable boxes, smart refrigerators etc etc. I'll pass on any of that trash. If I can't disable the bluetooth on the M18 I won't be buying it.

I would choose the 3/4 simply because it has more torque. I'll take all I can get when it comes to lug nuts.

i bought M18 fuel 3/4 drive and used it. fantastic good, but my ir 2235timax air impact gun is better gun !
