I drive a 2015 freight liner business class m2 and the air gauge is showing well over 150psi. Is this from air dryer freezing or what would cause this? Today is the first time it has done it. It is 3 degrees outside. I had an older truck do this one time also in extreme cold temps. -10 to -20 range.

Do you hear what sounds like an air leak from the dryer? With the pressure building up so high, it will continually bleed off at the dryer. If it doesn't bleed off at the dryer, the little pop off valve on the side of the air compressor will start firing off. If that thing starts firing off, PARK!!!!! You're going to lose your air pressure quickly, and your brakes will eventually lock up.
If your dryer is continually leaking from the high pressure, you can run, but you want that looked at, because it will eventually leak all the time and you will not be able to build pressure in the tanks. -
The dryer doesn't leak air but a valve bank back by the intermediate axel that bleeds off the pressure. The gauge goes almost all the way around back to the zero. This truck has been red tagged until it can be fixed. I was hoping I could get a quick fix while running it last night. Thanks for the responses.

Cut out pressure is supposed to be between 115 and 135 psi, and cut in pressure should be no more than 25 psi below that. Air governor is a cheap part... if it's not doing what it's supposed to, just replace it.
