Air ride vs Spring on 53ft dry van

    i don't belive that is the reason behind going back to spring ride the last company i worked for bought 100 spring ride traliers the reason was they are lighter it allowed them to get one step closer to scaling 27000 lb loads sorry but don't remember how much lighter they are

    I do rent quite a bit from XTRA and they said they now only purchase spring ride trailers with Aluminum roof as they did three years of checking data and the difference with air ride vs spring does not make it worth going through the xtra maintenance that you need with Air Ride Trailers (tractors yes there is a big difference). Also more and more loads are going on the rail where the right specks are springs and aluminum roofs.
    On Skirts CA. is the big one on that right now and it makes a difference on what percentage of your fleet goes into CA. to say if you need the skirts or not.
