Air Switch Solenoid

Hello Masters,

This is solenoid behind the truck, provides air to multiple things.

One of them is leaking, did a temporary fix with JB weld, lasted few days.

Should I changed this particular leaking solenoid which costing $325 plus for a newer one?
Or can I just bypass it with a fitting?

- jus curious, how solenoids work differently than a regular fitting?
