NO. not something like that. EXACTLY like that.I am glad to have found out this was going on with my air sys. glad there was a inexpensive, permanent fix. very happy to have learned something new. if it were not for my air leak on my air to air hose, I never would of had truck checked. it is also a good thing that after the guy checked, found & fixed the leak in hose, he did not stop there , but went around to other side of truck to grab hose on compressor, where he felt air going thru..
one day while in clanton al. I got a call from a fellow o/o from our co, that I knew of. he said he got my cell num from our dispatcher, he knew I was somewhere in the area. he asked if I had a 1" hose, cause his split open & he was on the side of the road. I was about 10 miles from him, got to him, cut a 1-2 ft long hose & put it on for him. it was the hose from the compressor to the manifold on a old mechanical engine. I never thought there could be a alternative to that setup. he asked... what do I owe you? I said is the number you called me from your cell ? he said yes. I told him, I am storing your number in my phone & if I ever break down, & your anywhere near, I expect you to help me if needed. thanks for all the opinions on this.
