Alberta makes Class 1 training a Red Seal trade

Unreal. Driving is too simple a task to be a red seal trade. What a joke

 

The actual joke is for how simple it really is, that so many can't do it properly and comprehend everything.

 

So will those of us who've held a Class 1 for years be grandfathered? Or will we be forced to jump through a bunch of bull#### hoops in order to keep our license?

 

Also, the Red Seal is an interprovincial qualification, so does this mean every province will be adopting these standards as well?

 

More Alberta companies will be plating elsewhere. A trade falls under fair labour standards act

 

I just hope they don't screw with us existing Class 1 license holders.
