I live in Sask and we're getting -20C temps already. I've got two older trucks with Ad-9 dryers and evaporators for airline antifreeze plumbed in after the dryer.
I've also got 2 newer trucks with AD-IS dryers. Those dryers have a line out for primary tank and a line out for secondary tank. Also has a few 1/4" lines that run to different things.
Is there a way to plumb an evaporator for an AD-IS?
The evaporators work great with the Ad-9 because there is only one outlet to the tanks. I just can't figure out how to do it with these dryers.
Alcohol evaporator on AD-IS?

I don't know but last truck I had with alcohol evaporator was '87 L9000, it had no air dryer. Have not seen alcohol evaporator on a truck since. Possibly the 2 are not compatible.

They can be refilled during your oil changes.skman Thanks this. -
I would not think that there is a way without a lot of crazy plumbing due to the way the AD-IS works. You might could call Bendix hotline and see what they say. 50/50 chance you get someone that knows something.

If you have already changed the filter on the dryer before it got cold and you are still getting water out of the wet tank when you drain it, You will have to put a new filter on it, once you have dry air going to the wet air tank put on the evap. Can be put on lower part of your firewall at end of the steel flex part of the air line that changes to hard line and try to keep it running down like the line was?

I never thought I needed one. I pulled super B hopper throughout Saskatchewan. But every two years one of the trailers suspension wouldn’t air up and the TireMaxx inflation was on the same circuit.
I always just changed the brake spring valve, they would freeze up.
The last time I changed one out I noticed that water pools up in the bottom of the valve, no problem. But over time it gets deeper and eventually interferes with the valves operation.
So after all that I realized that an alcohol evaporator would have saved me all the trouble.beastr123 Thanks this.
