To be honest, I have no idea.
I do remember reading an article in the paper (should tell you how long ago that was) that has someone cited for physical control for working on his boat in his driveway. I think it has to do with are the keys available, but not positive.

There used to be a truckstop in Ohio that had a bar next door and we did some serious partying back them. Nothing was said, no one that I knew of did anything stupid like leaving in their truck because we all looked out for each other. Now days no one speaks to each other.

I guarantee if you ever get popped with any kind of container in the cab, you will be looking for a job, and having a real hard time finding one.

There's a few truck stops up in the bush that sell hard liquor right at the fuel desk.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Does the law differentiate between ethyl and isopropyl alcohol?

I don't know the answer to that question. One will kill you and the other will light you up lol.

That’s my understanding as well. You cannot have empty bottles in your car and you cannot have the keys on you or in the car anywhere. Then you can legally sleep it off in the event you find yourself with no other alternative. I have no idea if this applies to commercial vehicles.
