They just don't hold up in the oil Field. They crack, bend and break when you tie heavy machinery down with chains.
Make sure what ever you get will hold up for the freight you haul .

    Its like anything.
    Right tool for right job.
Some tools are better and more versatile but there are limits to everything.
Define what you need to do then ask around like you are here about experience in a similar application.

Yes you can get stress cracks. Lots of people will go with a lighter trailer to increase pay load. When I had my 48 ft Manas flat bed it was built for 100k spread across the deck and 60k in 4ft. I loaded it all the time with 48k loads spread out and it would still have an arch. I never did any of those super heavy coils or anything under 20 ft that was over 30k. Sure the trailer is built to handle it but after ao many times stessing the frame to its designed limit it will eventually sag or crack. May be 100 loads or it may be 10000 loads just depends on the treatment you give it.

The trailer was an 06 and I just sold it last year. Still had an arch and it is still running 48k acros the country. the thing about going with a big bubba or any other heavy duty aluminum trailer is that it will be a bit heavier than some other aluminum ones and when you haul long items that are light and flat you may have to stick extra dunnage to compensate for the massive arch the trailer has. but by having the stronger aluminum trailer and using it for regular 48k or less loads it will make it harder to over stress it in the long run.
