All American Xpress

No payroll deposit appeared on Tuesday and in a phone call this morning I was told that another system wide message went out on Monday stating that Friday is again the target date for this weeks payout.
My pay amount appears to cover the expenses I submitted for my layover when the truck was repossessed.

 

No, haven't talked to Lakeland this week - I told them I wouldn't check in until my pay was up to date - got the payroll info from the ATL headquarters this morning and they also helped get the ball rolling on an expense reimbursement that fell thru the cracks when one of the fleet managers quit last week before approving the request.
I'd LIKE to go back but if nothing is lined up by Friday so that I can be back in a truck by Monday, then my finances require I take any job I can find. Word from one of the other stranded drivers is that they are back on the road last week and trucks were available when they left the yard.
I put in the app today with Tango and inquired about a dedicated run with my old company, Schneider, but I live too far from the customer for SNI. Last resort for a quick job is always USXpress right here in Chattanooga/Dalton.

 

jlind, just checked on-line and payroll was deposited as promised first thing this morning. Talked with someone earlier this week and my largest expense reimbursement should go thru next week ($500 I paid for a ticket for a revoked registration on a trailer last month). The person responsible for approving it quit the day after I talked to her last week! Have called down but had to leave a message so I am waiting to hear if they have a truck ready. I'm ready to head south on Sunday and be back on the road Monday.

 

BTW, I haven't been in the loop at all this week so haven't heard any scuttlebutt. I'll post it here when I get news, probably Monday if I go down (I would trust info I get from other drivers more than from the office staff).
