Think they are all 2 years / 200K unless you purchased the extended warranty.

Warranty won’t cover your downtime. The software updates have been available for a couple weeks, but they’re also getting sensors delivered. I was down most of September with the same issue, last Monday the dealer my truck was at got 5 sensors delivered for the 5 trucks that were there waiting.

Are you turning it in voluntarily? What’s the buyout on the lease? Can you get financing and just buy the truck and go back to work? I’d look at all options available before I give SFI $15k+ for the pleasure of driving their truck for 2.5 years.

Have you had to replace the DEF sensor in any of your trucks? I went in to the Portage, Indiana peterbilt Saturday to purchase a DEF tank filter and was told by the parts guy they have 400 of the sensors on order but no time frame of when they will arrive. He said they have more than 20 trucks in the back lot waiting for one... Yikes...

Ya wanna talk about price gouging though, $90 for this little DEF filter... My APU oil filter is a similar size to that but for the discounted price of $2.50 at Walmart :biggrin_2559: 20200614_084128.jpg

It doesn’t make sense that trucks are still waiting for the sensor because the software update has been release for both Cummins and Paccar engines.

$90 is right. Freightshaker is $110 before apocalypse.
Make sure you change the washers and don't over tighten.

He didn't mention anything about the software update. But maybe they just haven't had time on the schedule to fix all of those trucks, nothing at a dealership is ever just a pull up, plug in the computer, and the problem gets fixed in 5 minutes... Everything has to be a long drawn out process....

Well the owners should be leaning on them for the software. It’s been available since the end of September.

Thats a ####ty situation. Wonder what happend, turned it in, or resolved?
Guess the op didnt have enough cash to make payments and wait it out another month. Or couldnt get a rental to get him thru.

Why? Because people chose to get in over their head on a lease purchase? Or because of the parts shortage?
