Seen them at parts stores. May get one And replace switches. $8 to $10 for switches.

I also have a 2000 Freightliner FLD daycab.

You need to properly diagnose your problem and not just start changing stuff. Use a multimeter or a car test light and track the circuit to see where your problem begins and ends. It should not be a very expensive problem.

All lights came on yesterday with switches off. I repaired a broken wire going to right headlight and pulled on wiring harness at bottom of hood where it runs thru clamps and all lights shut off. when I get a chance i'm going going to trace wires in wire loom.

That's a common spot for wiring failures on every truck. Harness flexes there every time you open and close the hood. Over time wires chaff together or break from the flexing.

True. I read a blog about that but didn't pull hard enough first time. I'll let y'all know if I find the bad wire. Thanks to all that replied to my post.

I didn't have much time to check out light problem until last weekend. Installed battery disconnect and both switches. Switches didn't help problem but they cost much. This pass Saturday I took the time to check it out. Removed breaker and relay cover. Pulled all the relays and found corrosion on some of them. Cleaned them all. Removed headlight switch so I could pull on wires to see where they went. Wires ran to daytime running light control module and it was HOT to touch. Unplugged module and lights went out. Checked all lights to see if they are working properly and they were. Removed module and through in trash can. Problem solved.
