Its simple math Bullet....add up all the seconds the jake was "barkin" and subtract the number of seconds he had his foot on the brake pedal...:biggrin_25523:

Some other driver also lost a wheel at the same location. I had pulled into the Breezewood TA for repairs right before I lost that wheel. I may have pissed one of the repair-guys off. Or, maybe it's just the long descending grades and all the braking. Some of the other wheels did have long rust-streaks coming from the lugs. It turns out that it was not the actual lug-nuts that broke, but instead it was the bolts that are a little further out, but still, the entire set of wheels and brake mechanism broke off when every single one of those many bolts snapped in half! It did not look like a 2-piece bolt. If anyone else in Breezewood has that happen to them, it might be worth serious further investigation, but it might be overzelous to come to accusations without proof. I'm just leaving it alone, and anyone else who looses a wheel after getting work done at breezewood should post here too.

Sounds like you have an older stud piloted hub set up. This means you have a double cap system where the inner "nut" is actually more like a bolt and is tightened from the square end, while the second nut only tightens to the first piece.

My guess would be improper tightening of the inner nut. Unless the repair you requested at Breezewood was in fact tire related it is unrelated.
