Chop, you and I are about the same age (I've already hit 50), and I'm just now seeing a light at the end of the tunnel that ISN'T an oncoming train (though this week has kicked me in the caboose!).

I suspect you've been through worse, and you'll get through this. But it can disillusion you for sure. Keep your head up and plug on, man!

    Good luck!

I do understand where you posted. And overall I commend you for the way you presented your situation. I wasn't trying to make you feel any worse, I was responding to you post where you said that they could have done something other than fire you.

I probably should have quoted that on my first post, but I'm on my phone and sometimes I take the lazy way out.

    chopper23966 Thanks this.

Lesson learned the really hard way for sure.

BUT,you learned to ALWAYS check the mirrors or get out and look.

Those toll booths in Baltimore are narrow.Always make sure you are lined up and glance in the mirrors to see that you are straight whenever going through those type of places..

You can get a yearly copy of your Hire Right report (DAC) free on the website.

Biggest thing is take a deep breath and slow down....take your time so the next job goes better.

The Challenger and chopper23966 Thank this.

Fleets are nitorious for not paying claims or for not paying claims in a timely fashion and dragging the payment out for an extended period of time. Their hope is that the O/O or small fleet will just give up/close up and that they will grow tired of having to fax the paperwork every week to a different person in their claims dept. That is how the fleets do it.
