This really seems to be a subject that is real touchy with some people. I didn't want to start anything, but am also tired of dancing around the elephant in the room.

But I'm guessing since there has been no backlash that most people knew the point I was trying to make.

Thing that pisses me off the most is after they screw you over, and get caught, it's no big deal to them. Oh well, I guess God will forgive them. Me, not so much. But then, according to belief, only God can offer forgiveness, so I guess that's alright...

I agree and this guy was no Christian. The Christian thing goes with brokers and trucking company owners also. When they say god bless you that means they are asking God to watch over you because they are fixing to screw you some way some how and that makes them feel better the screwin you are fixing to par take in.

Their is a local guy here that runs some rock trucks and has his own sand pit, he claims he is a Christian and is always saying God Bless and such, he is one of the biggest crooks around and always trying to cheat someone out of something and the biggest rate cutter.

This why I am one truck and one driver, me. Because if this was done to me I would be looking at 20 to Life.

As a man that follows Christ. Not perfect but a true follower. If you met me I would want my conduct to say I follow him not just words. Yes there are people out here who talk the talk. Just please dont let one or fifty people take away your belief that there are true followers of Christ here and we may never even have to preach to you to show it.

Just want to point out here that Jesus isn't too keen on folks claiming association with Him for their advantage either-

"Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes, nor figs from thistles are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." (Matthew 7:15-19)

A red flag goes up with me anytime someone feels they have to tell me that they're a "good person", or an "honest person", or a "Church-going Christian," or some other line of BS like that. These aren't the kind of things a person can be their own reference for.

I would think most Christians would not announce that they are Christians. I try to be a follower of the teaching of the bible & try and interpret it, but most folks I meet never know I am a Christian & some find out months after they have been around me, only by my actions, not by my announcement of it. I know some say your supposed to show your a Christian. I just feel uncomfortable stating certain things outright. like look at how much money I make, or come look at how nice my house is. e.t.c. if asked fine. it is my personal preference, not for me to apply to anyone else. if you are sincere, you Don't have to tell people you are sincere. you just BE SINCERE. same as being a Christian. :biggrin_25519:
