Wanted to see if I could get any updated info from drivers currently working at All-Star. Checked older threads but they are more than a year old and couldn't fnd much on line about them although I did spend an hour or so talking with Ms. McCoy but she isn't a driver. Hopefully will be able to get back on with Poly but if not looking at Fremont Carriers or All-star. Neither come close to pay at Poly but both seem to have a #### load of miles on really long trips out west just the way I like it.

The pay between FCC and All-star are really close so that won't matter that much in the decision. All-star apparently has a load of liquor that delivers into Vegas a couple of times a month which is a bonus for whenever I decide to come home whereas that might pose a slight problem at FCC but could likely work that out as well once I was in the mix.

Any intel on the west coast runs wound be greatly appreciated. Are things were you can just do a continous relay of trips without any downtime in Pacific, minus of course any maintenance issues? Can a guy consistently hit 13-14000 miles a month if you stay out? I see some things about a possibility of getting some delay in the starting of the ELD if picking up produce, is this the case? I don't currently have my hazmat but could easily get it, is there often a chance to pull HM loads and if so is the pay still higher for that load as it seems it once was, forgot to ask her about that? Anything else that would be good to know please fire away and thanks for the insight, both places seem like quality outfits to run for just want to make the best decision.

Not the info you were asking for, but I can definitively say All-Star has some fast trucks at 72.

    majestyk Thanks this.

Yeah I was happy with that info, I think the lady said it might even be 75 on the cruise which would be really nice for that long run down I-40.

I worked there for 3 years, they’re good people. And yes the trucks are fast and very well-maintained. If you have hazmat and tanker, those Sierra Pacific runs out to Oroville and Chinese Camp, CA are gravy. You’ll likely go to Salinas when empty or the Delano area to pick up citrus. Once you’re loaded, it’s a lot of fast, open-road miles.

It’s a pretty good job, I’d probably still be there had the elog mandate fallen through. But I know they have some sort of Ag exemption now too so that’d help.

    motocross25 and majestyk Thank this.
