If I replace the set should I stay with these or are there other options for a DDECII? Have been told to get injectors only from Detroit for reliability sake. As an ex 4wheeler tech at a dealership, I have seen my share of junk aftermarket stuff on cars.

there is another inj number that gives you about 20hp more but you should upgrade the cam to. if you do cam inj and ecm and bw turbo you can get 500-525 to the ground with good reliability and little smoke. if you are going to do this you should start with a fresh overhaul.

agree on the fresh OH. Cyl pass deck height and show cross hatch so not going in that deep right now. Can't find anything on the turbo other than a set of numbers so not sure what it is. Don't care about smoke cause only local and lots of back roads at that. Cam is good so I guess the most I will do is fix the head, poss injectors and turbo. Might just fix head and put it back together and see what I have. Make sure everything else is right before I spend any $. Not hard to throw a turbo on later, injectors are a little more. If I knew they were all good it would be different. Diesel place here said 50$ apiece to test with new seal and have to send them out for that. Still deciding, thanks for all the great info.

If I do injectors it would be with the same ones cause of no cam change right now, just new ones to freshen that part up. Didn't want y'all to think I would go for the bigger ones without cam after told not to.

It is possible with stock turbine, but engine life may be short....

cummins had ecm made so if truck was stopped the engine would only go to 1500 rpm's worked great. But the arb didn't like that...
