We know smoking is bad for us. Like many habits, it is hard to give up. Unless we're blowing our smoke right in your face, shut up about it already.trucker_101 and Injun Thank this. -
I am not a non smoker. I am an ex smoker and we are your worst nightmares.
We have seen both sides.
We have overcome our addiction.
We now are self righteous haters of the evil weed.
BWahahahahahahaha.trucker_101 and lilillill Thank this. -

You have got to be kidding?

About the smelling of smoke while riding behind another vehicle... Yep, at slow city speeds, I can smell it. Must be the heightened sense of smell you get after you have kicked the habit. I used to tease my dad about having an eagle nose after he quit. Now I see what he was talking about.
All that being said, I can't see having an allergic reaction to smoke just by driving behind someone who is smoking. If your genetic disposition is really that weak, perhaps you need to follow my lung strengthening plan. -
You go right on ahead and light up your contraband stogie. If I don't like the smell of it.....I can walk away.
And in one sentence, you say people who smoke are weak, yet in the very next indicate a liking for a different nicotine delivery system that also emits smoke. What's the diff?
Yeah, I know...chemicals in the tobacco, breathing wood smoke from the paper, blah-blah-blah. The brand of cigarettes I choose is natural, organic tobacco, so no more a health hazard than your stogie. In fact, probably less a hazard because there are no flavoring agents in my tobacco.
My only issue with smokers of any design is the significant number of us who think nothing of tossing their still-burning butt on the ground. I come from a heavily forested area with mostly conifers. Conifers have more natural oils than deciduous trees. When a wild fire starts in my home area, it can be quite spectacular, especially during the dry season. It just doesn't seem to cross the mind of the butt tosser what the possibilities are. Me? I keep a bottle with water in it on the dash. I toss my butts into that, cap it off and give it a little shake just to be sure my butt is out. It keeps my truck from smelling like an ashtray and contains my trash. I will and have b****ed people out for throwing burning material. It is my business when someone is trying to burn my state down. But...you will not hear me telling people they shouldn't smoke. It's none of my business...even during those times I was a nonsmoker. (Five years the last time)
I find the self-righteous attitude from a cigar smoker laughable.Lilbit Thanks this.
