People hunt pythons, everyday, in FL. And, the FWC pay them for it. This tournament thing is just silly.
I guess you've never entered a calling contest for varmint. We kill coyotes all the time, but turning it into a competition is enjoyable. I'd love to catch a few pythons. Even if we struck out, just stomping around in the Everglades for a couple of nights would be a blast. BBQ cookoffs and fishing tournaments come to mind as well.
