I was leaving Applebees last night and i pulled out of the parking lot and had to go 15 feet to a stop sign at the main street and all traffic must turn right so i was waiting at the stop sign because of alot of traffic and i see a car that was on the main street and had his turn singal on to turn into the road that i am on and so i pull out and he does not turn at that street and he jammed on his brakes almost hit me then he turned into the second drive way 10-15 feet up the road. Whos fault would it have been if we would have got into an accident?

    Yours.

Never pull out until you see them start to turn or they are in an actual turn lane.

Would have been yours. Failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

    Yours for failure to yield.
It is not illegal to falsely signal,
it is however prohibited to proceed from a stop sign when it is not safe.

You should drive in a major metro area, I avoid wrecks for 8+ hours a day all day long.
You would not believe the stuff I see.

Like the guy last week backing up on I-5 over the draw bridge between Portland and Vancouver!!! (no emergency lane on the draw bridge)

Not if he was turning 15 feet past you.

It looked like he was going to turn onto the road that i was on because he started to slow down. I dont know why he did not just turn on the street i was in.

Signals are required 100 feet before the turn.

I never trust another driver's signals. Most people out there don't even know or remember half of the rules of the road! I've lost count of the number of accidents I have avoided over the years just because I pay attention to everything that's going on around me.
