I'm thinking he means he's turning at a sharp angle....
ETA: No, he said four way intersection. OP must have pulled up to far.
Almost hit twice in a week...

Ive had vehicles cross my own hood almost getting mashed in Houston from ######## like this.
I hold the weight and throw it a little bit, cars best back off or they get hit. If they wanna be stupid, they bump me and chances are I never see or feel it and they wonder what happened. That inside left lane is a bad place to be with a semi you want the outside left turn lane.
It is what it is, you need to stay clear of the semis because when you get your CDL YOU are the one being mobbed and need to pick your way gingerly around the stupid cars without mashing them.
Case in point I had one vehicle parked on a corner in NY. Called the Police because there is no space to turn after the pickup. Police says move it. Say what? It's gonna mash it. What of it, move the #### thing. Fine. CRUNCH. Easy. It's been 30 years and I think that was a waste. But a necessary one. Ive gotten hard over the years not so soft towards stupid people in their cars. They get hurt sometimes. -

"a trucker has been in his left turn lane and I in mine..."
That really implies a two lane left turn situation.
Unless you mean turning in opposite directions?
If that is the case, then you should have taken the turn a bit closer to give the truck more room.
The truck HAS to turn wide. -
gillz107 Thanks this.

Haha this probably what all the people here in Nor Cal say when they see me making a turn and they are past the line... It was probably I , you saw making that turn. I was just teaching you a lesson to stay behind the line, but I guess you didn't get my message

Trucks need more room to turn especially in tighter areas they may need to grab part or all of the other lane. You'll see when you start driving one. A good idea is to make sure you can always see the trucks mirrors... if you can't see the mirrors the driver can't see you. Also... it's probably not smart to try to out maneuver something that weighs up to 500 times more than your car. Suffice to say... Driving a truck will help you appreciate the brilliance of Darwinism.
