I've just lately adopted the practice of opening the door and looking out as I back. I'm not trying to look cool or anything, I've just found that for me, even with the little FLD I drive, that I can judge the cut of my trailer so much better than if I just stick my arm up on the door and roll the window down. The truck I had in PA was a different story, the exhaust was right behind the door so I really had no option other than opening the door and standing on the step.
Almost impossible to back in there!

I have to agree there. The old dumpy plants I go to are much friendlier than the big chem plants that you have to watch a stupid video about wearing a hard hat before you can go in. Errrgh. -
Nah, no yelling, but I don't run any air in my seat. Again this is preference, not a super trucker mentality

There is a tiny warehouse on my way to work. Let's just say from dock to ditch there is about 60-some feet. So the guy that works out of there has to jackknife his 53 footer in every day when he comes back from making his deliveries. EVERY DAY LOL. I will take pics soon.

I would find someplace else to work. The end of the day is the worst time for tricky backing. -
Garden State Sausage in Hawthorne, NJ.
I'll let the pic speak for itself...
