Gee.... I feel sorry for what I'm reading. I start on Nov. 6th. 240 hours of class time. Local Jr. College, Corporate Training Division. All paid for by the government (grant). Unemployment pay while in school too. I've already spoken to the teacher. He said:
You're going to spend half of everyday in the yard. You're going to get down the inspection, air brake tests, hooking up, backing, parking, and all that until you know it like the back of your hand. You'll only spend the second half of the day on the road.
I already have 7 years experience with a straight truck and 13 gear standard. Licensed 25 tons gross.
I'm beginning to consider myself lucky.
