Not sure what I said that gave you the idea that I'm in a Kenworth but I'm not. I'm in a Cascadia. Sorry if caused the confusion.

It's beefy. The washer doesn't have a very tall shoulder. I wish it went downward into the hole of the mount more to better protect from shorting to the mount as the antenna flexes and wobbles. That's my only complaint about this stud so far.

I'll be done today around 7 pm Pacific. Maybe I'll install a ground strap or two.

I know what you're trying to say. My father is an auto mechanic and has some.

    I am wondering about something.

What do you have running in the cab that isn't factory installed?

    Eld?

    Any chargers or cheap inverters?

There are some chargers and inverters that will sound like alternator noise on the Cb.

Freightliner still has issues with ultrasounic harmonics within the cab, that actually leaks through to the 11 meter band so

Said he has a pure sine wave inverter goin to run stuff like his fridge..
Has no gnd straps but went with a different ant stud and got less noise...He has not tried pulling coax to see if its commin through power supply that direct from battery..Also radio and inverter are on different batterys..
