I pulled a Benson 53' a week ago, dang good trailer. 2 giant coils on the deck and it lost half of the arch.

It took years to get my trailer to lose any of its arch. To this day it doesn't drop that much and its 5 years old. Someone said that all trailers have an arch and that's correct, but don't let that fool ya. You can buy the same exact trailer I have with only 3" arch, I think thats what they told me. Mine is 7" I think and I could've went more..

How good is freight for that kind of flatback? I pulled a curtain and it SUCKED. "You hit the side of that trailer, you now own it."

All I basically haul is coils. It has its good and bad weeks, but I don't get excited.

Hold on I'm looking for my hip waders...LOL

Benson made one good trailer and it was the Al King series. I think that was the name, but it was on the sticker with the Benson name. If Benson would've fixed/beefed up the neck of their trailers even up thru the newer ones (524,724) they would have had a good trailer.

Ahhh I remember pulling that one. It just sits at the Birmingham yard, tarps, tires, and other stuff on it. Boyd really gave up on that trailer after the back axle went out.

i dont even remember what series it was but never had any trouble out of it except every once in a while i would forget to recharge the dump axle switch and when you would hit the brakes running empty you could watch the dollars go up in smoke literitly!!

    Les2 Thanks this.
