Alumaclear. But it will chip from rocks and such.
Or just wrap them in vinyl. If left alone they’ll need polished a few times a year to stay looking nice, especially after a winter of liquid deicer.77fib77 and BRD TRANSPORT Thank this. -
Stainless is almost the way to go for ease of maintenance.
Opendeckin, Bean Jr., Vampire and 3 others Thank this. -
A friend of mine used cooking spray on stuff like that in the winter. When it gets washed it looks like new but until then like total……

Personally i like the even sandblasted look and therefore do an acid wash on my aluminum, it does eat away the metal but only a small amount, would take many years of it before its any kind of real issue -
This trailer had AlumaClear sprayed on when it was new, it was not quite a year old in this pic. It got chipped up on the front up high where the bugs hit but mostly stayed good. We had some other trailers that got the wrap put on instead of sprayed and I didn’t think they looked as good. They didn’t seem to shine as well.
lester Thanks this. -
My aluminum trailer has a clear vinyl wrap. Definitely takes away some of the shine but still looks pretty good. Holds up well as long as nothing big is being thrown at it. And you can peel it off and have shiny aluminum again
Long FLD Thanks this.
