Just curious what part of this job isn't hazardous. Im betting percentage wise more drivers tear up equipment and get in accidents simply driving through Chicago or the northeast corridor than doing u-turns.

You did what I, after 36 years of driving, would have done. Is it right? That's a matter of Opinion and everybody has one. Fact is: you delivered the load safely, that's a fact that cant be disputed obviously.

This is true but it is better to have done it this way than getting fired because of it. most of the time they will help because the signs are posted down the street well after you made your turn.

Did anyone notice that all the fool had to do was back up a bit more to where the road widened?

Is that the idiot that runs up and down 75 and across 40 filming trucks? If so, glad to hear it! I was watching one of his videos and he almost wiped out a 4 wheeler while he was filming!LOL Naturally, he blamed it on the 4 wheeler. I think that was STAT or something like that?

I believe this was taped by cell phone from car behind him. I believe in the video it was mentioned that another person had tried to get the guy to turn onto a road where there was enough room to turn and get back out where he could turn the truck around, but the guy didn't listen. The guy in the car behind him backed up where he could back up even.

You sure better not rely on a GPS in a situation like that-especially a garmin trucker gps- you miss a turn it goes crazy and sends you down all kinds of roads, I found that out in TX. I still say the driver did the best thing he could do in the situation and I would defend him all the way to the supreme court!
