You are not hired until you draw a paycheck. What I mean is that until you actually get money for being there, you are just a number and nothing more. YOU can't be considered an employee until that time. If Orientation is on their dime and you are not compensated, but when you are going on the road and are compensated, then when you hit the road, you are an employee.

Generally think about it as a probation period the trainer will access your progress and things go from there then you may have a time frame like 90 days where you are being evaluated cant speak speciffically for swift but that is how a lot of companys work just do your best

A lot of companies will not let trainees drive after 12 midnight till 4-6am either. And if you can, make sure you figure out how to do your routing too, some trainers (at all kinds of different companies) don't like the trainees to make any decisions, it is just point the truck down the road and don't stop till I tell you.
