I am 21 now. I have worked as a security system installer the past 3 years when I got out of high school. I was a new driver and drove a lot and racked up 3 speeding tickets in 2 years. Two of them are a 15 over which will both expire next spring. I plan on applying for US Express student driver program by then. They have a limit of only one 15 over which both that I have will be gone by then.
Next off I have a newly acquired disorderly conduct charge for getting into an argument at a bar. I don't have a drunk in public charge (Minor Misdemeanor) or anything related to drugs, alcohol, or theft. Just me being a loud mouth and getting into some trouble.
I have no DUI's, theft, misdemeanors, felonys, etc. My concern is the minor misdemeanor because I waited patiently and improved my driving for an entire year to stay clean of the system so I can be a truck driver. I don't want this Minor Misdeamor charge hurting my chances of getting the job I finally want.
Am I hireable? 21 with tickets

Wait till tickets drop off and you'll be golden, fit right in
-
Sadly you probably are.
Texas Rebel, Puppage and Brettj3876 Thank this. -
Wise up with your habits or you won't last long with ANY 15+ tickets. Considered reckless in most places and its a career ender
-
In my state. Tickets are for life. So don't think your tickets will disappear. 3 years yes. But not lifetime.
I"m guessing US express says 1 in 3 years or something like that. Something might come along that you want to apply for that will have insurance requirements that go up to 5, or 7, up to 10 years.
Did you get arrested with your misdemeanor. If so. You'll have a criminal record. For life. You'll do yourself a favor by having it expunged if the state allows. May not happen for 10 years though.
Did the law get passed where you can be 18 now or whatever the age is. Or is it still 23 years for the current moment???? -
Your misdemeanor arrest is nothing, your good. There are plenty of drivers out here with a lot worse...felonies galore. That's ok though, it enables those folks to get out of that vicious criminal cycle for a change. Let your tickets drop off and the world is your oyster.
fargonaz Thanks this. -
Did US Express say they will hire you next spring?
Those two 15 over tickets are reckless driving charges with trucking companies and it doesn't matter if it was in a private vehicle.
Where is your location? You can probably do better than US Express. -
