Hey, congrats on KLLM! Hopefully I'll see you out there! I also had my BI done by them before I got my prehire, and they called me to get proof of employment (W2 form) at one of my past employers since that employer is no longer in business. Seems like a lot of trouble just to screw us over.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
Am I makein a mistake

Trucker Mike,
If you decide to pursue KLLM, do check in with them on a weekly basis. After receiving my prehire from them, I waited a week or two and then asked the school staff to contact my recruiter there. It was through the holidays and he was on vacation, so they left him a message to call me. After two weeks of not hearing anything, I assumed they had instituted a hiring freeze or something, but I called to find out. Turns out, the recruiter never got the message, they are still hiring, my prehire is still valid, and they are definately still interested in having me work there. What I cost myself in the delay, was a few weeks worth of waiting to get into the next open orientation. Had I been more diligent about staying in touch with them, I would have already been in orientation and starting training.

Come back in 3 months...and say the same.
Sounds to me as if you both are committed. Be forewarned, having gone that far. If you change your mind and go somewhere else, it will go on your DAC. -
Danc,
I'm sincerely interested in your last comment. How would it be stated if it were reported on my DAC? I haven't been employed there yet. Upon further thought, what proof exists that I asked to be scheduled into orientation at any carrier? The recruiter could have merely scheduled me into orientation just to make their numbers look better.

That sucks! My recruiter wants me to start training on Feb. 16th, but that's cutting it close. So she's reseverd me a spot for both Feb. 16th and March 2nd (whatever the first one is in March). Which ever one I can attend first, I'll be at!

I'm not sure how it would be stated. You''ll have to ask someone thats been done that way, and has actually seen their DAC. There are several within the forum.
You don't have to be employed, for them to hit your DAC. You have a partial now.
You can talk to recruitors all day. But when you commit, you are committed. That date usually occurs when you agree to attend orientation. Whether you arrive or not, is irrelavent. -
Along with IronRydr, I'd love to be able to find somebody who experienced this. I've spoken with several people who had multiple pre-hires and it wasn't an issue. They simply called company X and said "I appreciate the offer, but unfortunately I've gone with another company." End of story.

Danc,
I understand your point as I've seen posts related to this topic as well. My point is, what proof is there that I ever agreed to attend any carriers orientation?
IronRydr -
And I offer you this in return.
I can't hire you, your DAC report came back with a bad report.

.
The burden of proof, is yours. -
Danc,
Having been a law enforcement officer for several years, the burden of proof was always mine. I don't have a problem with that. If something inaccurate goes on my DAC, then I'll deal with it.
