Am I qualified ?

    Quick question, I am taking Wellbutrin (anti depressant) and metformin (type 2 diabetes) is there any use in trying to get a DOT physical done?

    I have heard that any form of antidepressants is disqualifying.

    They won't let you drive on Wellbutrin. Type 2 diabetes is okay if under control. Type 1 needs a DOT medical waiver. They are talking about letting type 1 drive without a waiver in 2012.

    I've been on a prescription for Wellbutrin for the last 8 years, and it's never been a problem for the DOT physical.
