No, a lot of them are reducing it to 1 in 3yrs. But I'm telling you if you get it off your MVR you got a good chance to get hired because they all know that DAC and CSA don't tell the whole story. I had 2 in 3 years where 1 was thrown out of court and the other wasn't my fault. But the DAC report doesn't say that.

I really don't think your screwed as you put it. Did you fight this ticket? There's alot of " did you's " in your posting. Anyways, this would go as part of your CSA score ( and yes i agree CSA scores are just another way for the overly regulated trucking industry to get into bed with insurance companies) , different companies have different thresh holds for what they deam as insurable and what isn't, might want to ask some recruiters about that. As was posted earlier, you might have to bite the bullet and work for a less " honorable" company that can get you insured to keep the bread on the table and roof over your head. Ultimately , you need to find out what the "time weight" is on this incident, if it's three then you have three years of treading water before it "falls" off. Might want to consider talking to OOIDA and see what they say, you can challenge anything on your dac and csa , I just can't remember how to do it. Good luck and God Bless !
On a side note. That shower shoe that stated that he'd be pissed if it was his vehicle. That man that posted this thread prob has more miles in reverse in a commercial vehicle then you do in forward. 1 year exp and 24, yup, your an authority on trucking ( sarcasm intended). The only thing your an authority on , in my humble opinion, is where in the cab is a good place to hide your favorite sock.Excorcist1 Thanks this. -

I was moving some dump trucks around off road in the dark and backed into my own personal truck. I had no idea what happened to my tail light until it was next to the dump truck the next day and I saw the level of the truck and put it together. Yes I am glad for the owner to get his car fixed but the tickets are dumb. It is easy to not know you hit something.
