Maintaining a relationship across a keyboard can be deceiving sometimes. That goes with the qualcomm, peoplenet, texting, or even on this forum. It's easy to let emotions fly on a keyboard. Meeting in person or on the phone kind of puts things back in perspective. Hey this person ain't that bad after all.

OP, I feel for you, but as others have said, keep looking and then suck it up for awhile. Stay at your next job, even if it's not the best in the world. Sure you may have to down size the bills a bit and cut some stuff out.

Talk to your next dispatcher face to face if you have the chance and yeah they maybe a pain in your butt. I learned some really good lessons working for the "companies" I worked for. The larger the company the more inhuman it is. Put your face with the truck number! It's really easy to forget that that dispatcher is a person and twice as easy for them to forget you are a person to. You have 1 or 2 dispatchers, those dispatchers may have 100 to 200 trucks to get to loads.

I have always had better luck than my husband talking to operators with large companies... I never forget that "I" am not the only person with a problem that they have taken care of today. Work with the system, not against it. Meet the person and then you are not just a number, you are a name and face also. Then your work record, with them, will work harder for you than if you are just a truck number. Be nice ( not a boot-licker) it will get you alot more done.

    Big Don Thanks this.
