Some doctors will heavily push sleep studies and CPAP machines for heavier people. I would recommend finding a chiropractor that does DOT physicals. From what I've read, they tend to not care as much about sleep studies, and that was certainly my experience. I'm about your size and had no problem getting a two year card.

On the phone they did mention sleep apnea and stuff. You mean I should stay away from this clinic, and go somewhere else?Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

Are you about to start driving?
I was running upwards of 70 miles per week, riding 200 miles per week and while rarely by comparison, doing some swimming for years leading up to my getting into driving last Jan. Despite doing flatbed and wrestling tarps sweating my balls off in -55 windchill wrangling frozen tarps, eating a pizza slice from various truck stops around the country MAYBE 6 times, never touching ANYTHING else at the hotbar, drinking water like it was going out of style, not running a single mile last year...not biking a single mile last year, not swimming in anything other than my own sweat last year, I still managed to put on 25lbs.
So while I HOPE you still have energy enough after a 14-17 hour day to walk 45mins and/or do anything that gets your heart rate up that long, the statistics are NOT on the side of the avg driver.
I turned my truck in Dec of last year and went local this year and now back to my everyday workout/run (no cycling though, but start swimming again next week). Best of luck.Another Canadian driver and hopeful eyes Thank this. -
Thank you. I drove for Uber for more than 4 years, I was still in shape. 5, 10 and 184 lbs. Medication changed me. Otherwise I am very disciplined when it comes to my diet and workout. I will carry dumbbells, and strength bands in my truck. And I will eat grass. When there is a will, there is a way.Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

At minimum try to avoid empty carbs, and move around, doesn’t have to be strenuous. Just keep moving as much as possible.
