That place rocks. Your right on the fact there are no " best TS " in the dillo. The J not bad. I used to stop of the one off Pullman road across the hwy from the old Pilot. It was a little run down place, but the food was good and it was quiet over 98% of the time. I have not been in Amarillo in 9 years so I dont know if the place is still open or not, I am sure things have changed in that town.

That must be the old Lone Star truck stop you're talking about. It was the old Pro-Am in the 60's, then a Texaco, and finally an Indian-owned place before it became the Lone Star. Unfortunately, it closed about eight years ago. You're right. Nice, quiet place. Good food. But run-down.
