For the work it's worth it. $18/hr for 5 hours, 3 stops on my routes. That's just my experience. 110 average miles a route round trip.
Edit- $18/hr is base for my area. I make a little bit more than that for experience and equipment.
Amazon,Fedex, and Military loads ???

$18 per hour? Yikes that is very low. I feel like you would have better luck from a rate standpoint on the spot market.
-
Depends on your equipment. We box trucks that do distribution get $20/hr base and it will cap at $30/hr or higher depending how they like you.

Which is why thats my work during a reset. Truck costs 50$ a night to run, 3 nights, $240 profit on a reset.
-
Are you renting a truck or something?
-
Nope. That's fuel cost. It's hard for a solo one like me to make enough to make it a regular thing. I get the bottom of the barrel because I'm competing with small fleets.
During the duration of my 72 hour clock truck runs LTL and expedited. -
Fuel is not your only cost. They are bending you over. Hopefully you’re using some of that Vaseline that came in the Welcome Package.
Seriously dude, don’t run your truck that cheap. You are taking a HUGE risk for peanuts.Ruthless Thanks this. -
