So $230 for the full move which I am assuming is a drop and hook for about 1.5 -2 hours worth of work ain't horrible. It would be terribly boring if you were doing em all day. I wouldn't do them unless they also had enough to fill a day or it wouldn't be worth it
Amazon Relay. Thoughts?

It was one way move...and would take more than 1 hour. Their check in / check out procedures plus you have to deadhead to another move unless you can get something out of there immediately.
I guess, after a while, you can get a hand of it and become more savvy and efficient but is it not better to get yourself a dry van and do DAT loadboard, demand your rate instead of collecting a little change here, a little change there Salvation Army b.s.?RushmoreTrucker Thanks this. -
when i read about stuff like this, it's like seeing people's psychology flip backwards. this kind of stuff should pay MORE per hour and MORE per mile, not less, than regular running down the road because it's a little physical labor, is detention of the truck, etc.
these loads literally pay worse than detention. it's more economically viable to go find a shipper that pays detention but is generally slow and behind and show up precisely at your appointment time with two or three trucks ahead of you.
this is just a nightmare stupid version of sand hauling at that point. i got some settlements from buddies in west texas... they assured me "we never drive more than 100 miles bro we don't go that far"
did the math, they were doing 3,000 miles/week at $2.33/mile. what are you, dry van?
per mile rate ain't everything, except when it's too low. if you're doing anything under 200 miles for less than like $4/mile it's what you call a favor not a load -
Agreed I wouldn't even look at that crap for a one way move. It is funny that they get people to do that kinda crap, this is ex why this industry is broken.RushmoreTrucker Thanks this.

I did this too about a year ago. No real plans to haul for them but I was curious since I lived about 10 minutes from a DC. Everything I've seen has been a joke. I don't want their emails anymore but they are just about impossible to get rid of. Delete delete delete everyday.RushmoreTrucker and FloridaRetired Thank this.
