I don’t really do the load board run unless I want to make a couple hundred in between the days

Just because one driver gets into a wreck on I95 doesn't mean ALL drivers should avoid I95. Same with brokers and shippers. I didn't ask a question in judgement of others. I asked because I thought there might be an actual person on this forum, hauling for Amazon, that could answer the question about worker's comp BEFORE Amazon got back to me...which they still haven't. The $730 it cost me to add $50k trailer coverage would be worth it if I got 1 load from Amazon's load board while I'm stuck out in BFE somewhere. I don't know why everyone acts as if Amazon is so different than everyone else hosting loads.

I used to haul loads when there were still phones at the table to call the receiver for directions into their facility while watching loads scroll across the TV. Paying a few bucks to have access to a large database of freight doesn't seem like a bad business decision to me. I'm not a driver needing to be home every night nor am I looking for direct contracts. I'm a driver needing to have options to reduce empty miles. Access to loads is how you do that. If I want to hunt antelope in NM after delivering elsewhere, I need loads to get me close. I need loads afterwards too. The more access to freight I have, the better I will be able to go where I want. I miss OTR and can't wait to see the country again.

Saying crap like "let him go broke" is a bunch of crap and unnecessary. If that's the "help" you were talking about, no thanks. There have been a few helpful replies, so thanks to those of you that offered that support.

I get it. I would love to see someone post power only loads coming out of Orlando for more from another shipper, broker, or otherwise. I’m not trying to argue but I doubt you’ll ever find better paying freight than that coming out of FL.

Which insurance company do you have? I called progressive and their trailer replacement max is 40,000. Amazon requires 50,000. Going to call more places of course but figured I’d ask you.

The insurance agent needs to request it as trailer interchange...it had to typed in manually.

I'm getting my insurance finalized to restart my authority and asked them to ensure I could pull Amazon if that works out.

Amazon requires workers comp insurance however, it's just me. Is anyone pulling for Amazon that got an exception to this requirement? I've sent them an email asking but I thought I would ask here as well.

In order to join Amazon’s freight network, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

An active DOT number with interstate authority and a valid MC number

A “Carrier” entity type that is Authorized for Property and for Hire

A Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Safety Rating of “Satisfactory,” “None,” or “Not Rated”

All required insurance policies including:

Commercial General Liability not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate

Auto Liability not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, including a trailer replacement coverage of $50,000

Cargo coverage of at least $100,000

Workers’ compensation insurance in all jurisdictions where your company operates

Employer liability not less than $100,000 per occurrence

You don't need it unless you hire a driver. I pull for them some times never needed it to set up

No money right now. During the peak season I made $80K through the holidays. Now with fuel you'll be lucky to make $1000 a week after expenses
